Elk County Solid Waste / Recycling Office
The Recycling/Solid Waste office is responsible for facilitating Elk County’s drop-off recycling program, which includes not only traditional recyclable materials, but also used oil, tires, white goods, household hazardous waste and electronics. The office is also responsible for enforcing the county’s solid waste ordinance.

Elk County Community Recycling Center
The Elk County Community Recycling Center is open three days a week to accept a variety of recyclables, including some plastics and types of paper, bi-metal and aluminum cans, used motor oil (no mixes), and used cooking oil (no solids). Electronics are collected the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and they also can be dropped of at the community recycling center during regular business hours.
