Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is a public-private
nonprofit partnership dedicated to serving small- to medium-sized
manufacturers in the 13 counties of Northwest Pennsylvania.
NWIRC provides high technology acceleration, advanced
training, and management services to client manufacturers;
in 2014, the NWIRC managed projects with over 90 clients,
totalling $8.6 million in new client sales revenue, $2.1
million in cost savings, and $14.9 million in new business
investment. Services include Manufacturing Technology
Acceleration, Cost Reduction Consulting Services &
Training, Advanced Business Valuation & Planning,

their annual Multiphasic Testing on Saturday, Aug. 29th
from 6am – 9:30am at St. Leo’s Social Hall
in Ridgway on Depot St. 30 blood tests for $35.00 Additional
tests available for an additional fee including A1C hemoglobin

St. Marys Lions Club
Rabies Clinic - Aug. 29
Elk County Veterinary Clinic will be vaccinating dogs
and cats over the age of 3 months at the annual Lions
Club Rabies clinic at Benzinger Park from 9-11am on August
29. If animals are under 1 year a booster will be required
in a year, otherwise regular shots are every 3 years.
Seminar - Sept. 17
Farmers National Bank & North Central PA Regional
Planning & Development Commission will present a free
economic development seminar on Sept. 17 at The Red Fern
in Kersey. Guest speaker Rich Snebold will make a presentation
on Succession Planning. The event starts with 8:30 Am
registration and concludes at 2:30 PM. Lunch will be provided.

Penn Highlands Elk- Education Center. Appointments
