News & Announcements
Yard Sale - June 12 & 13
the fun, clean out your house and make some extra $$$
all at the same time! With dozens of yard sales all over
the city, bargain hunters from throughout the area will
converge on St. Marys these two days.
Don't forget to register Your Sale!
Registering ensures that your address will be listed on
our official Town Wide Yare Sale Map flyer, online sale
map, and special Facebook Yard Sale Event page. The deadline
to be included on the printed maps is Monday, June 8.
Late registrations will still be posted online. Click
here for a printable registration form.
Registered sellers can pick up two complimentary Yard
Sale signs at the Chamber office. You can also choose
to have your house specially maked as a 10% Sale by agreeing
to donate a minimum of 10% of your yard sale proceeds
to a local charity of your choice. You can pick up a special
"10% House" poster at the Chamber office to
display at your sale.
We encourage local charities to schedule their own fundraising
yard sales, rummage sales or bazaars on the weekend of
the Town Wide Yard sale, and local businesses are being
asked to have sidewalk sales during these days as well.
A separate list of business sidewalk sales will be included
with the map. There is no charge for businesses to list
their sidewalk sales as long as they feature regular merchandise
and not yard sale items.
The New ChamberChoice
With the inception of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), health
insurance companies were held to new mandated coverages
and benefits, restrictions to medical underwriting, and
new parameters in determining a premium cost for an employersponsored
health plan. And with those changes, discounted premiums
for health insurance were no longer offered. For more
information about how ChamberChoice is responding to these
read this document entitled "A look back, the steps
forward, and now". In the coming months,
we will provide more information on the new ChamberChoice
and what it can do for you.
